My Approach
The cairn is a metaphor for my practice as life is often a process of having, losing and finding direction. Perhaps a direction or course was never there to begin with or maybe life was dictated by another person. Cairns, human made stacks of stone, function as markers along trails helping people to find their way, memorials for the deceased and places of meditation and prayer, bridging the worlds of the physical and spiritual.
My therapeutic approach is deeply relational, integrates mind, body and spirit, and is rooted in the belief that our lives are as rich as the characters and narratives that we find in books, movies and stories. However, stress, anxiety, depression and trauma tend to mask our awareness of this richness. Yet, it is the struggles themselves that help us to change and grow. Understanding this paradox is one way to find meaning and purpose in life.
My clients benefit from slowing down, tuning in to their inner wisdom, and finding solutions to the stress, emotional pain, or emptiness they experience. Together we will work to identify behaviors and beliefs that no longer serve you so that you may embrace and live from your strengths and truths. My approach is holistic and integrative to help you identify recurring patterns, heal from trauma, and make positive changes in your life and in relationships.
When we are more self-aware and capable of identifying internal and external resources, the way forward becomes clearer.
